    Description

    Ling-Ling and Hsing-Hsing, the
    Smithsonian's National Zoo's first
    pair of
    giant pandas
    ,
    arrived
from China in April, 1972 as a gift to the American people to commemorate President Nixon's historic visit to China.  Soon after, Panda-themed souvenirs became all the rage! My wife and I moved to DC in 1974, and the National Zoo was one of our first weekend outings.  We obtained these chopsticks there.  They have never been used (we didn't know how).
    10 inches long.
